At KHUS, we are devoted to creating toiletry bags that are both practical and stylish. Every piece is made with the utmost care, attention and respect for the craft.
Founder story
KHUS was born through years of travel, from a desire to create an extension of my skincare and make-up routine, while also bringing a sense of ritual and familiarity with me wherever I went. I couldn’t find a toiletry bag that felt beautiful, functional and truly suited to me. So, I decided to design one myself.
Nothing at KHUS is mass-produced.
Nothing at KHUS is mass-produced. Each bag is fully handwoven and handmade. The weaving of the fabric alone takes approximately 45 days. After that, every bag requires another four hours of careful hand assembly to bring each piece to life. It is this devotion to the hand, to time and to craftsmanship that gives every KHUS piece its unique character.
The meaning behind KHUS.
Did you know that KHUS is the Hindi word for vetiver? Vetiver is perhaps most fascinating for its distinctive scent. Its roots contain aromatic compounds that create a deep, earthy, smoky and woody fragrance. This is why vetiver has long held an important place in the world of perfumery. In India, vetiver is used in attar, perfumes, soaps and other fragrant products. Its scent is often described as grounding and earthy, yet fresh at the same time.
